Commodity Supplemental Food Program |

 CSFP is a program designed to help Seniors in Hidalgo county who are 60 years of age or older. Eligible Seniors receive a bag of commodities each month to help supplement their existing food sources.
A staff trainer oversees the assortment of products in each bag, ensuring a balanced diet. Nutrition information, a food guide pyramid, and easy to prepare recipes are also included.
This is a program near and dear to our hearts because it helps an often overlooked population...our Seniors. Many of our Senior clients have expressed gratitude and relief because without our bag of food they would not have had enough for food that month.
 Currently there are 13 CSFP distribution sites with over 2,154 clients, with a long waiting list of clients hoping to get a chance to receive their share of food. |
