Why do our volunteers matter? |

Volunteer’s actions directly impact the outcome of the lives of those in need in our community. They inspect, clean, sort, and pack food that goes to almost 200 Valley hunger relief agencies. They are trained to identify good donated food items from bad, because not everything donated is fit for distribution.
Volunteers can diversify. Whatever your passion, chances are the Food Bank RGV has an opportunity for you. Be it:
- coordinating a fundraiser
- serving on the board of directors
- helping with a food or school supply drive
- working at the free store for teachers and more, School Tools
- helping in the warehouse or office
